Four threat facing Tehran
For more attention
Quadruple faults:
Only activation of one of them is sufficient for the occurrence of any disaster in Tehran, whereas a large number of residential houses built on these faults or is under construction. On the other hand the fact is that resilience of the old and even new building is not good. As far as can be told that the new buildings will not reach the age of 30 years.
Air pollution:
More than 1 million old and out of date cars, Presence of polluting factories around the city, Traffic, Incineration, Lack of separation route for truck and heavy diesel vehicles have led to the catastrophic air pollution in Tehran.
Overcrowding (population density):
Tehrans population is more than 13 million on the days and 8 million at nights. This increasing in population caused by the inappropriate and irregular migration from small towns and villages to Tehran.
Land subsidence:
The occurrence of three incidents in less than three months in Tehran, explosions and gas leaks in the Shahran district due to land subsidence (28 June 2016), land subsidence in the payambar street (11 September 2016), power plant explosion in the Sattarkhan district (14 September 2016) sounded the alarm for the Tehran. It could be caused by the loosening of soil due to the drought and unauthorized removal of excess water from wells.
